Your Voice | Your Town isn’t just a slogan — it’s why this site exists.
It started as a local effort to bring clarity, transparency, and accountability to how decisions are made in Gage County. When property valuation letters went out, many of us had questions.
What followed wasn’t planned — but it became a step-by-step uncovering of how opaque the process really is, how inconsistent the outcomes have been, and how vulnerable everyday people are when systems lack transparency.
Each article led to another question. Each question led to a pattern. And each pattern made it harder to look away.
This site is for neighbors, residents, and anyone who believes in fair process and honest governance. It’s here to share what we’ve learned, offer tools to help you check your own valuation, and invite you into the shared work of making our systems more transparent, responsive, and trustworthy.
If you’re new here, start with the series that started it all:
- The Letter — how one post sparked a wave of community response
- The Vortex House — the anomaly that raised even more questions
- Facing A Hydra — the deeper patterns we couldn’t ignore
- This Is Who We’re Advocating For — why this isn’t over
- When “Fair” Isn’t Fair— more confusion than clarity
- If You Got a Property Valuation Letter from Gage County — Please Read This
- Countermeasures Deployed— where we are
We’re just getting set up, so thank you for your patience as we build features, add resources, and figure out what works best — for us, and for you. We’ll post updates and reminders on Facebook, but this site will always be the home for the most complete, accurate, and updated information.
Check back often. We’re just getting started.
